“Go after your dream, no matter how unattainable others think it is.” Linda Mastandrea
How badly do you want your vision? Do you have the passion to persevere after your vision when it seems impossible to achieve?
What is Passion?
Passion is a strong, intense feeling or emotion that will push you to go after your most intimate desires. Passion that is in tune to the vision God placed in your heart will equip you with the stamina to pursue it at all costs.
You will not let nothing or no one stop you. You will develop a passion that burns so intense that negative situations or discouraging words won’t extinguish the fire that burns within you. You will go to bed at night anticipating the next day and wake up in the morning excited and ready to live out your vision.
When you are hungry for vision nothing outside of it will satisfy your appetite. A better job with more money and better benefits won’t quench your thirst. A new position with an impressive title won’t curb your hunger. If you are doing anything other than pursuing your vision you will not be satisfied.
You won’t be satisfied
If you know there is a business in you waiting to give birth, you won’t be satisfied working on a job. If you know your marriage is to bless other couples, you won’t be satisfied with a lack luster marriage. If you know you need good health to fulfill your vision, you won’t be satisfied unless you are doing everything necessary to live healthy. Whatever you need to do to make your vision a reality, you must do it.
I want to warn you up front that you must pay a price to accomplish your vision. You may lose some people that are close to you because they won’t understand your passion. You may have to go to bed late and get up early because you have to put in the extra hours to make things happen. You may have to give up your familiar routines because your vision requires you to start something new.
Your vision is not going to show up at your front door in a neatly wrapped box with a perfectly tied bow on top. Reading a bestselling book or listening to a powerful motivational speech or inspirational sermon with a five step formula will not bring you instant success.
Reading a daily list of affirmations, reciting a few popular scriptures or thinking great thoughts will not automatically produce positive results. If you want to see your vision come to pass, you must put on your work clothes, hard hat, steel-toe boots and go to work.
Passion to see your vision through
I have realized that once you decide to implement your vision, nothing or no one can stop you, but you. If you remain steadfast, unmovable and abide in God’s directions even when the struggles of life confront you, victory is possible.
If you are passionate about seeing your vision come to fruition, you will defy the odds and achieve what others and even yourself think is impossible. A passion for vision will give you a picture of a brighter future that you cannot let go.
Even when life throws you a curve ball and you want to walk away from everything, a passion for vision will keep you focused. If you lose your job, bank account drops to zero, friends and family walk away, a passion to live your vision will motivate you to keep pushing forward. Whatever your vision may be, remain passionate about it, value it, fight for it, work at it and you will reap the rewards.
